Ada Frances Blankenship Norfleet, age 81, formerly of Murfreesboro and Clarksville, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017. She is the daughter of the late Stacy Blankenship and May Belle Jordan Blankenship and the sister of the late Steve Blankenship and Peggy Blankenship.

Ms. Norfleet was born in the Milton community of Rutherford County and completed her education at Middle Tennessee State College in 1958. Ms. Norfleet married, became a school teacher, and raised her family in the Oakwood community of Montgomery County. Later in life, she struck out on her own and returned to Rutherford County while working at Opryland U.S.A., Tennessee Performing Arts Center, and Ryman Auditorium.

Visitation will be Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5PM – 7PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, December, 2017 at 10:30AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Ms. Norfleet is survived by her daughter Carol Norfleet of Gallatin and son Herman Edwin Norfleet, III (Julie) of Nashville and three grandchildren, Gabe Vigil, Grace Norfleet, and Lucy Norfleet.
