Louise M. Griffith, 77, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away December 12, 2017. She was born July 23, 1940 in Ashdown, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; T.P. and Hazel (Battenfield) Merrell, two brothers; Troy and Wallace Merrell, one grandson Joseph Lee Moore and one great granddaughter Mariah Saucedo. She is survived by her husband Sam Griffith of Fort Smith, four daughters; Patricia Smith and her husband Ricky of Sallisaw, OK, Kathy Compton and her husband Dave of Clarksville, AR, Cynthia Rankins and her significate other Mike Pearcy of Mulberry, AR, and Donna Moore of Fort Smith, one sister Mary Pickard of Ashdown, AR, 19 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy Fort Smith, Arkansas with Interment to follow at the U.S. National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 pm. Pallbearers will be Rick Smith, Ricky Smith, Matt Smith, Andy O’Bar, Mike Pearcy and Mikey Pearcy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Caleb and Dallas Sharum.
