Services for Mr. Garrett will be 2 PM Friday, May 11, 2001 at Hunter Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Stirnemann officiating and the Rev. Ben Fuston assisting.
Visitation with the family will be 10 AM until 9 PM Thursday and prior to the services Friday. Interment will be at Jones Hill Cemetery with Military Honors. Mr. Garrett, 84,
of Watertown, died Wednesday May 9, 2001 at McFarland Specialty Hospital. The Pickett County native was born May 4, 1917 to the late Lawrence Jackson Garrett and Rosie
Bell Smith Garrett.
He was a farmer, a member of the United Pentacostal Church and a veteran of the United
States Army serving in World War II. He was also a member of VFW Post 5023. He was preceded in death by daughter Nancy Smith. Survivors include: wife, Johnnie Kelley Garrett; children, William Clovis Garrett, Jr. of Watertown, Bobby (Janice) Garrett of Lebanon, Randy
Garrett of Murfreesboro, William Lee Garrett and Brenda Ashford, both of Watertown; 9 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; sister, Geneva Filson and brother, Truman
