JAMES W. STUECK

James W. Stueck, age 67, of 3700 Monroe St., Two Rivers, died early
Monday morning, December 25, 2000, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2000, at
Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Robert P. Kujawski and Rev.
Bruce McKenney will officiate at the service with burial to follow at
Pioneer Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Jim was born April 16, 1933, in Two Rivers, son of the late William and
Orpha Dodge Stueck. He attended St. John's Parochial School and
Washington High School, graduating with the class of 1951. Jim then
continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Madison where he
earned a BS degree. He also served in the United States Army for a few
years. On November 7, 1954, he married Shirley Commings in Manitowoc.
She preceded him in death on November 19, 1973. On July 25, 1978, he
married Lorraine "Lori" Petrashek at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Two
Rivers. Mr. Stueck operated the Stueck Insurance Agency in Two Rivers
with his first wife, Shirley from 1966 until his retirement in 1985. He
was a member of the Two Rivers Lion Club serving as president in 1974.
He was also past zone chairman of Lions International in 1975-1976. Jim
served as a school board commissioner from 1970 to 1973. He was a
charter member of the Two Rivers/Mishicot Ducks Unlimited. He loved to
fish, hunt, and was an avid reader. Jim enjoyed the time spent with his
grand-kids.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine "Lori"; two sons and one
daughter-in-law, Barrett and Debbie Stueck, Manitowoc, Nathan Stueck,
Two Rivers; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Bruce Hansen,
Manitowoc; four grandchildren, Eric and Michelle Stueck, Christopher and
Jeremy Hansen; one brother, Tom Stueck, Aurora, Colo. He is further
survived by two brothers-in-law, John (Gwen) Peetrashek, Wayne
Petrashek, all of Two Rivers; one sister-in-law, LaVerne Stern, California.
Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers from
5-8 p.m. Wednesday (TONIGHT) and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church
until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Two Rivers Lions Club will meet
as a group at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening to pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lester Public Library.
