Marie Emmler was born in Lug de Landou Bavaria Germany 23 April 1862. Her parents were Joseph Emmler and Ann Margaret Klein. Marie came to the United States on the ship Switzerland from the port of Antwerp , Belgium Nov 1880 and arrived to New York 10 Dec 1880. She was married to Erwin A Arnold and had a son Emil Ludwig Arnold 30 Aug 1883 in New York. She married her 2nd husband Robert Kluge 12 May 1905 in the Borough of Manhattan NY. After he died 15 Sept 1915 in the Bronx of Tuberculosis, she moved to Los Angeles CA to be close to her son and his family. She married her 3rd husband George Bertuleit 12 May 1939 in Belvedere Gardens Los Angeles County, CA. George died 26Sept 1944 in Los Angeles. Marie later died in 1951 from her heart disease. She is buried next to her son Emil Ludwig Arnold who died in 1940.
