Mrs. Eliza Lincoln Truesdell, widow of the late Philander Truesdell, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles L. Morris, on Sunday afternoon, February 12th, 1899, at half past five o'clock, after a brief illness, aged 82 years. She was born in Bethel, Vt., the eldest daughter of Hezekiah Lincoln, her parents removing to Warsaw when she was seven years of age. Her long and happy married life was spent upon the Truesdell homestead, two miles south of this village, where Mr. Truesdell died Sept. 18th, 1882. For the past two years she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Morris. Mrs. Truesdell was a woman of a quiet, retiring disposition who found her greatest happiness within the home circle, and yet gave freely of her time and strength in kindly services to friend and neighbor. She is survived by 1 son, E.G. Truesdell of New York; 1 daughter, Mrs. Charles L. Morris; 1 brother and 3 sisters, Jairus Lincoln, Mrs. Hannah Sammis, Mrs. Sarah Burlingame of Michigan and Mrs. Clara Sammis of Santa Monica, Cal. Funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence of Charles L. Morris on Buffalo street. Rev. M.C. Hyde officiating.
