Florence Bell Goodman, 98, of Scottsdale, Arizona, died Thursday, October 10, 2002, at Scottsdale Village Square nursing facility. Mrs. Goodman and her husband had lived in Wheaton until moving to Scottsdale in 1981 to be near their daughter Phyllis Jo Corey.
She was born in Oketo, Kansas on October 22, 1903 the daughter of Joseph Warren and Ada Lavina Garret Founds.
Mrs Goodman was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills congregational church, of Phoenix, Arizona.
She was married to Dewey Robert Goodman on December 11, 1920 at Westmoreland. He died February 2, 1990. Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Phyllis Jo Corey, two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Lavina Belle Berner, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, two sisters, one brother; seven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and five great great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be at the Wheaton center, in Wheaton, on Saturday, October 26, 2002, with visitation one hour prior. Inurnment will be in the Congregational cemetery. Kufahl funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower street, Phoenix, Arizona or Wheaton Congregational cemetery.
