The family were called with his "middle name of Herbrandson" through the 1890s with Trustem used as well as Trostem. By 1900 they did change to their name legally on his will/probate legal notes as Trostem.
The children in order was known with Gertrude(Guelson)as the oldest, then Herbrand K.(Rugne Grostand), Mary, Andrew, Ole K., Jessie Olive(Loveberg), Nellie, Marie, Albert, Edwin, Olena, Caroline known.
They were farmers in Bristol, Iowa. All the children were raised there with several of them marrying and moving including Gertrude relocating in Brodhead/Orfordville, Wisconsin when she married Guel Guelson.
He had eight known grandchildren.
He remarried when he devastatingly lost Carrie in May 1880.
He remarried Ingeborg and together they had a new family of children-according the census they wereCarl, Andrina, Peter, Regina, Melvin, Helmer.
The eternal resting in peace brought him to his heavenly home and reunited all of his blessed children and many grandchildren. With the roots carried on he was blessed with a namesake in grandson grX4 with Ole(Oliver James Best).
He was preceded in death by wife Carrie in 1880 and a child.
He was laid to rest in 1903 in Worth County, Iowa.
