Jo Ann Phillips, 81, of Chillicothe, died 9:55 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2017, at Washington Court House Manor.
She was born July 3, 1936 in Arley, Alabama to the late Robert and Vermille McClellan Hill. On December 31, 1952, she married William L. Cox who preceded her in death November 11, 1979. On March 6, 1981, she married Homer Phillips Jr. who preceded her in death September 15, 2011.
Surviving are sons, Mike (Chris) Cox, Bill (Anne) Cox, and Tim (fiancee, Lisa McDonald) Cox, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Matt Cox and girlfriend Jennifer Earwood, Eric W. (Leslie) Cox, Cody, Caleb and Cameron Cox; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Lucy; several step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren including Morgan Earwood; brothers, Robert Hill, of Owensville, OH; sisters, Ivalee Jones, of Pleasant Plain, OH, Mary Lou (Bernie) Collins, of Mt. Sterling, OH and Carol (Mike) Dugan, of Pleasant Plain, OH; several nieces and nephews and many friends including Nancy and Purl Brown. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Ronald and Morris Lloyd Hill.
Jo Ann was a Geriatrics Home Health Nurse.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 in Grandview Cemetery with Pastor Anne Cox officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
