Ruby Lynn Hodges Burns, 77 of Hillsboro passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at CAMC Memorial Hospital. Born October 7, 1940 in Huntington, WV she was a daughter of the late Merrill Warren and Anna LeBeatrice Sizemore Hodges. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marvel McNeill, and a brother, Marion Hodges.

Ruby was a member of the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, Red Hat Society, and was a lifelong beautician.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Richard “Dick” Burns, son, Ralph Warren Burns and wife Terrell of Washington, DC, grandchildren, Warren Maverick Burns, and Madeleine Abselle Burns, sister, Carolyn Stonfer and husband Ron of Reisterstown, MD, brothers, Keith Hodges and his late wife Pat of West Hickory, PA, and Glen Hodges and wife Sue of Apple Creek, WV, sister-in-law, Sharon Hodges of Steubenville, OH, and brother-in-law, Blix McNeill of Buckeye, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro with Pastor Andy Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Emmanuel Cemetery on Bruffey’s Creek.
