She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa (Vendetta) Amaio and had lived in Wethersfield for many years before moving to Rocky Hill.
Margaret was first employed by Aetna for 15 years, retiring from there in 1962 to raise her family. She then became employed with the Wethersfield Board of Education as a cafeteria worker for 32 years. She began working at Mitchell School in 1977 and retired from Silas Deane Middle School in 2009.
She is survived by a son Arthur Abronzino, Jr. and his wife Kerri of Wethersfield, and a daughter, Elizabeth Varca and her husband Charles Varca, Jr. of Wethersfield, two grandchildren, Anthony and Nicole Varca and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 5, 2017 11:00 am in St. Luke's Church, 66 Bolton St. Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Friends may call Tuesday morning 8:30 to 10:30 am, at the Dillon Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpk. Wethersfield.
