Franklin Delano "Bo" Cooper, 83, of Camilla died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Rose City Health and Rehab in Thomasville.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with interment in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Carl Stokes and Rev. Ed Green will officiate.

Active pallbearers will be Mark Pollock, Hunter Pollock, Chris Cranford, Butch Watson, Virgil Pearce, Rusty Brown, and Ansley Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be the American Legion Post 141.

Born July 26, 1934 in Mitchell County, Mr. Cooper was the son of the late Byron Jesse Cooper and Jewel Elizabeth Faircloth Cooper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Veal Cooper. Mr. Cooper was also preceded in death by a grandson, Blaine Cooper and 14 siblings. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and was a member of the American Legion Post 141. Mr. Cooper was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and Southside Baptist Church. He worked as an electrical contractor and heat and air conditioning contractor. Work was his life, if he wasn't working, he wasn't happy. He was very family oriented and loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include two daughters, Katrina "Tina" Brown (Jimmie) and Marie Moore (Lance Simpson); one son, David Cooper (Michelle); grandchildren, Candi Brown, Brittany Miner, Brandon Cooper, Cameron Moore, Leslie Hopkins, Keith Brown, Rusty Brown; many great and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 2 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.
