Jo Frances West Smith, 80, of Kirbyville died Jan. 4, 2002 at Timberlake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jasper. Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Zion Hill Cemetery. A native of Hill County, TX, she had lived in Kirbyville 60 years and was a former Jasper County Commissioner and a retired Sales Clerk for West Department Stores. She is survived by her daughter, Larah Ruth Sims of Kirbyville; 3 sons, Richard West of Hickory, N.C.; Ernest West of West Monroe, LA; and Glenn West of Deweyville; 3 brothers, Ray C. Langford of Houston; John C. Langford of Denton; and James W. Langford of Corsicana; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
