OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald Press, 26 July 1999:
Services for Jackie Hamby Sessions, 58, of Elkhart, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Atoy Cemetery in Cherokee County.

Mrs. Sessions died Saturday at her residence in Elkhart. She was born October 10, 1943, in Palestine to Vollie V. and Naomi Hamm Rapier.

Mrs. Sessions was a Baptist and member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3907. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Homan; and brothers, James Rapier and Billy Rapier.

Mrs. Sessions is survived by her husband, James Sessions of Elkhart; daughters, Lee Ann Shelton of Palestine and Charlotte Winkler of Houston; sons, Gary Hamby Jr. of Pearland, Billy Hamby of Elkhart, Mike Sessions of Dallas; sister, Sheila Henderson of Pearland; brothers, Hugh Will Rapier of Mesquite and Gene Rapier of Naples; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles London, David London, Dustin London, Kenneth Honeycutt, Kennie Honeycutt and David Starkes.
