She was Presbyterian and a homemaker. She was a home economics teacher and enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Beth Forbes, Union Bridge, Md., and Ruth Ann Mascotti, St. Petersburg; three sisters, Mary Ellen Morse, Bloomington, Ill., Alice Strubhar, McLean, Ill., and Carolyn Kauffman, Danvers, Ill.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
