According to the [Council Bluffs, IA.] Daily Nonpareil, Wednesday, 25 February, 1953, Pg. 4, Mrs. Anna Matheson died Wednesday at a local hospital after an illness of three years. She was 67 years old and lived at 1700 West Broadway. She was a native of Solon, IA. and had lived in Council Bluffs for 40 years. Her survivors include her husband Delbert D. Matheson and a daughter Mrs. Wesley Grote of Council Bluffs. She was survived by five brothers: Joe Holubar of Green Bay, WI., Roy Holubar of Decorah, IA., Fred Holubar of Quincy, IL., William Holubar of Winona, MN., and, Frank Holubar of Rockport, WA. She also five living sisters: Mrs. Minnie Burke, Miss Fannie Holubar, and Mrs. Emma Kosen all of Cedar Rapids, IA., Mrs. Mary Gallup of Denver, CO., and Mrs, Lucille Steele of Omaha, NE. plus one grandchild and one great grandchild. Meyer Funeral Home was in charge of services.
