The funeral of Col. Winfield Peters, who died last Thursday at his residence, 1117 McCulloh street, was held yesterday morning from St. Ignatius' Catholic Church, Calvert and Madison streets. Rev. Father Purtell, of St. Ignatius' Church, officiated. The active pallbearers were selected from the employes of Henry W. Jenkins & Son, while the honorary pallbearers included Arthur W. Boyd, Luther W. Hopkins, Dr. Henry E. Shepherd, Rev. Henry W. Wharton, Col. William P. Wheatley, James R. Wheeler and Dr. James G. Wiltshire. Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery.
