Janice E. Osborne (nee Williams), 88, of West Valley, passed away November 12, 2017 at the Pines Healthcare Center in Machias.
Janice was born in West Valley to the late Hayden and Margaret (nee Ulmer) Williams. She married Clayton Osborne on Aug. 12, 1950 in West Valley.
After finishing high school, Janice received a Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo. She worked as a teacher and librarian for West Valley Central School and was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in West Valley. She loved gardening, baking cookies and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a son Todd Osborne.
Along with her husband of West Valley, currently of Machias, Janice is survived by her children Kimberly Jordan of Nova Scotia and Beth (Dale) Feldman of Livonia; a brother Bernard “Bud” (Mary Lou) Williams of West Valley; brother-in-law Edwin (Jevy) Osborne of Hamburg; five grandchildren, Morgan Fagan of Nova Scotia, Michael (Megan) Feldman of Rochester and Nicholas, Matthew and Kyle Feldman of Livonia; two great-grandchildren Ryan and Lucas Husshard and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, from St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in West Valley. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, West Valley. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 9372 Route 240, West Valley, N.Y. 14171.
