Bio
I began researching my family tree back in 2020 and that's when I came across the FindAGrave website. I thought it was incredibly interesting to find in depth information on my ancestors and then get to see where they were buried. The first family members I went to find were my great great grandmother and her children. When I finally found them, I remember it feeling so surreal to be standing there. That's around the same time that I noticed the "Photo Requests" tab and LOVED the idea behind it and being able to help people from all over the world receive pictures of friends, family, etc. And I've been hooked ever since.
I had requested a photo for my Great Uncle, Pvt Cecil F. Wulf, who went MIA in the Philippines during WWII. His name is memorialized on Tablets of the missing in Manila and my family never knew many details as to what had happened to him. My request was fulfilled one day and I'll never forget being able to show my mother and seeing her reaction to the picture. That reaction and happiness is what I hope to pass on to other people by fulfilling requests and creating memorials.
Also, if you've read this far, I'd really love and appreciate it if you could leave a flower for my Great Uncle, Pvt Cecil F. Wulf on his memorial page. My hope is to some day get him identified and brought back home where he belongs for a proper burial. Luckily with the help of many incredible researchers and friends, we've found more information on him little by little. He's a true hero and he's deeply missed everyday by his family.
