Shirley Anderson was born September 7, 1935 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Callie and Ernest Prock. She passed away November 25, 2017 at Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 19 days.

Shirley graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1953. Shortly after graduation, she married Loren Thompson and she followed him to different stations during his military career. They later returned to Mayfield where they farmed and she began working as a hairdresser and retired in 1979. Loren passed away in 1980 and she later met Jim Anderson and they were married on May 3, 1982 in Wheeler, Texas. They lived in Mayfield until moving to Erick in 2003 to make their home.

She was a longtime member of the Erick Church of Christ and enjoyed attending the Ladies Sunday School Class and helping prepare funeral dinners.

She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.

She is survived by her 2 children, Jimmie Glen Anderson and wife, Terri, Hannibal, MO, and Edith Perry, Lewisville, TX; 3 grandchildren, Colin Perry, Sweetwater, OK, Karle Gilbreath, Erick, OK, and Kelsey Anderson, Hannibal, MO; 9 great grandchildren, Landon and Jacob Perry, Matthew, John, Brandon, Kailyn, Ian, Kallie and Grey Gilbreath, 2 sisters, Norma Reed, Erick, OK, and Lorraine Griffin, Mustang, OK,
