Helen Harrop Lee, age 88, returned home to her Heavenly Father on November 24, 2017. She was reunited with her loving husband, Leo and son Ronald, as well as all her siblings and parents.
Helen was born on April 22, 1929 in Willard Utah, to Raymond Earl Harrop and Mabel Lenora ipsen Harrop Bradshaw. She attended and graduated from Box Elder High School. She lived in Willard until her marriage to Leo, and then moved with him throughout his career in the US Air Force. They were blessed with six children.
Helen & Leo retired from the Air Force in Victorville, California, where they lived for about 30 years. While Leo started a second career as an elementary teacher, Helen stayed busy raising kids, serving in many church callings, and working as a volunteer at Victor Valley Hospital.
They moved to Springville, Utah and served church missions in Bern, Switzerland and Seoul, South Korea. During this time she had the opportunity to travel and see many places Leo was stationed while in the Air Force. These were some of her fondest memories.
Surviving her are her children: Terry, Gene (D’On), Cindy Spain (Mike), Lisa Halvorson (Jeff), and Jon (Martha), 16 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Leo, and son Ronald.
Funeral services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.) South Jordan, Utah on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 12:00 noon. Viewing on Saturday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
Interment will be at Willard Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
