John Michael Camp Sr. 72, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2107 at his home on the Stateline on Bar F Ranch Road. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Vivian, LA officiated by Rev. Hart Clawson. There will be a time of visitation from 12:30 – 1:30 on Friday before the service at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA.

John was born November 18, 1945 in Vivian, LA. John and Wanda made their home on her family's home place on the Bar F Ranch road on the state line. He was raised Catholic. John was happiest when he was working. He retired from Bar F Ranch and from Pharr Brothers as a heavy equipment mechanic. He loved his kids and grandkids, and he loved his dogs, Corky, BeBe, Gemeni, MoMo and Boo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ennes and Marguerite Camp, his son Ricky Dale Camp, and his brothers Charles Richard Camp and Jimmy Don Camp, and his sisters June Bridges and Tessie Horton. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Wanda Camp of Bar F Ranch Road, his 3 children; Melissa Collins of Vivian, James Camp and wife Debra of Bar F Ranch Road, Kevin Camp and fiancé Star Alexander of Bar F Ranch Road, his grandchildren; Daniel Allen, Holly Knuckols, and Ashley Collins, and his 6 great grandchildren.
