Maxine was born the youngest of 13 children. She was raised in Dingle Idaho. She worked as a stenographer at Fort Douglas, and lived in Salt Lake City. She attended classes at the LDS Business College. She returned home after WW2 ended. She married Keith Parker in October 1946. They started their family with Cheryl in 1947, Brent in 1948, and Jan in 1951. The death of Keith in 1953 began her trek to Boise in 1954. She began her 34 year career at the US Forest Service in 1955. In 1956 she married Donald Swa. They began their family in 1961 with Chip, and Tracy in 1962. They were a social, fun loving couple, with many friends and family. Mom was involved in everything from bowling to cub scouts. In 1969 she became a charter member of the Sweet Adelines. She sang with them till she could no longer stand on the risers. She loved her music and her quartets and the friends she made through them. She loved travel and was able to go on many trips with her family and friends. She is the last of her siblings to leave this earth. There will be a huge family reunion in heaven. We're sure she will be in her element taking over the music program as soon as her cloud lands. She leaves behind 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and one 5th generation great-great-grandson.
