Billy Ray Payne born March 3, 1945 passed away peacefully November 19, 2017 at his home in Florence, MS surrounded by family and friends. Billy was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Florence, MS.
Billy served in the United States Marine Corps from October 1964 to June 1971.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, 22, 2017. at Trinity Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by James Brown. Interment will follow at Wesley Anna Cemetery in Star, MS. There will be a visitation from 9: 00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Church.
Billy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Survivors include, his loving wife, Carolyn Payne; one daughter, Nita Payne and husband Chuck; one step-daughter, Nancy Smith and husband Randy; two step sons, Phillip Summerlin and wife Rhonda, Eric Summerlin and wife Brandy; one sister Sandra Sweeney and husband Junior; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mable and father Gilbert and one Brother Sonny Payne.
