She last worked as a clerk typist in the metallurgical department of Bethlehem Steel. Previously, she was employed by the former Bush & Bulls Department Store. She enjoyed tending her flower garden. Katherine was a member of the Easton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are a son, Robert Ackerman and his wife, Maxine, of Easton, PA; two grandsons, Matthew P. Ackerman and his wife, Alicia, of Salt Lake City, UT, and Aaron J. Ackerman and his wife, Keri, of Philadelphia, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Dwight Ackerman; a brother, Kenneth Keen, and four sisters, Pearl Buss Huseman, Florence Wilson, Helen Rengert, and Evelyn Hinkle.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Easton Cemetery, 401 N. Seventh St., Easton, PA 18042. Arrangements are under the direction of the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough.
