FIRTH- Gary C. Snow, 56, of Firth, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2005, at the Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot. Gary was born February 9, 1949, in Ogden, Utah, the son of Claine L. and Helen Allen Snow. He grew up in California and graduated from the Santa Maria, California, School in 1967. He spent most of his life in Soda Springs, Idaho, and has lived the last year and a-half in Firth, Idaho.
He married Jody Dursteler (Dietz) on March 4, 1978, in Soda Springs. They were later divorced. He married Nancy Currie Leontie on September 4, 2004, in Firth, Idaho. He has been on medical retirement since the mid-1990s. He had worked as a maintenance mechanic at Becker "Agrium" in Soda Springs.
Gary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed Scouting in his younger years. He liked computers, video games, camping, poetry, reading, surfing, swimming and woodworking. He loved the Grand Teton Mountains and traveling. He liked history and watching the History Channel and was a "Star Trek" fan. He loved his family and being with them.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Firth; one son and three daughters, Jason Lee Snow of Pocatello; Melanie Lynn and Robert Cook of Soda Springs; Chelsea Ann and Ryan Shupe and Andrea Jo Snow, all of Pocatello; and four grandchildren.
Surviving also are one brother, Bruce A. Snow of California, and one sister, Marilyn N. Williams of Idaho Falls.
Services will be on Monday, October 31, 2005, at 1 p.m. in the Soda Springs Hooper LDS Chapel, Third East and Hooper Ave.
Burial will follow at the Turner Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
