Terry Arthur Gardner, 58, of Bedford, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, November 17, 2017. He was born in Bedford County, on November 18, 1958, a son of the late Harry Lee Gardner and Mildred Arthur Gardner. Terry helped form the Goode Recreation Association and worked tirelessly to touch the lives of children and their families. He always supported his kids and grandkids on and off the ball field throughout their endeavors. He is survived by his daughters, Ryan Gardner and Ashley Gardner; son, Brice Gardner and wife, Jennifer; brother, Roger Gardner and wife, Debbie; sisters, Janet Hicks and Karen Gardner; grandchildren, Bayleigh Gardner and Kassidy Parker; special friend, Tara Cheek; and numerous nieces, nephew, and cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. Linda Beahm and the entire staff of Bedford Hospice House for their wonderful care of Terry during his last few weeks. A Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Burch-Messier Walnut St. Chapel, 1235 Walnut St., Bedford, with the Rev. Rick Dellinger officiating.
