Earl was the fourth child of Clifford and Anna Tucker Anderson. He grew up in Riverside with his brothers and sisters. He married first Ariadne Simoes, with whom he had two children, Elizabeth (Betsy) Anderson Schilder and James (Jimmy) Anderson, both of Williamstown. His first marriage ended in divorce, and he married second Veronica Miller Bozarth, who had four children from a previous marriage, Roy W. Bozarth of Mt. Holly, Susan Bozarth and Mrs. Elizabeth Kemble of Willingboro, and Mrs. Jane Allen of Mantua. Earl and his second wife, Veronica, resided in Mantua. A memorial was held at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Mantua on January 23, 1982.
