Faye “Aliene” Taylor, 68 year old Ketchum resident, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa surrounded by her family. She was born on February 6, 1949 in Celina, Tx to Glen and Ruby (George) Wright.

Aliene married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Taylor, on May 25th, 1968 in Welch Baptist Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, worked at Bluejacket school and owned and operated a child care center in Vinita. Aliene loved Christmas, and enjoyed traveling, casinos, painting, drawing and gardening. What she enjoyed the most was attending her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s activities. She served in her community through the Native American Association of Ketchum and the Oklahoma State Grange Organization.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Ruby Gardner, father, Glen Wright, Step-Father, Wayne Gardner, Granddaughter, Payton Taylor, and Niece, Carrie Steele.

The family includes; her husband of 49 years, Jerry Taylor; her mother in-law, Geraldine Taylor of Bluejacket; two sisters, Sharon Davis and husband Wade of Bluejacket, Valerie Slaton and husband Jerry of Miami; her children; Lisa Evans and husband Mark of Ketchum, Lori Monroe of Ketchum, and Jerry Taylor and wife Leslie of Vinita, five grandchildren; Dakota Evans and wife Charbrice, Coleton Evans, Taylor Monroe, Chase Monroe and Luke Taylor; four great grand-children, Kayci Evans, Kourtney Evans, Kaden Evans and Remington Monroe.

The celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Langley Baptist Church, with Pastors Kevin Lancaster and Wesley Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Ketchum Cemetery.
