Carl Joseph Krebsbach, 87, of Red Wing, Minn., passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2016.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26th at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing, Minn. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.

Carl was born on March 26, 1929, in Adams, Minn., the son of Aloysius and Sadie Krebsbach. He grew up in Austin, Minn., and served in the U.S. Navy from 1946-1952. On June 18, 1955, he married Adelaide Haiar. He worked at Hormel Foods in Austin for over 30 years, retired in 1985, and moved to Hager City, Wis.

Carl enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

Carl is survived by his children, Randy Krebsbach, Jerry (Julie) Krebsbach, Marie Krebsbach, Carol (Kenny) Huppert, Jon (Krissy) Krebsbach, Lisa (Tom) Koehne, Joanne (Robert) Broze, Nancy (Mike) Richter, and Laura (Dave) Bolland; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Vivian Hall, Angela Hall and Mary Lou Houle.
