A. O. Eberhart Dies at 87; Dental Lab Pioneer Here.

A. O. Eberhart, 87, of Log Cabin drive, Smyrna, who opened the first dental laboratory in the Southeast in 1899, died Tuesday in a private hospital.

Born in Crawford, Mr. Eberhart has been a Cobb County resident 54 years.

He was a former newspaperman, having worked four years on the Athens Daily Banner before entering the Southern Dental College in 1898. A year later, he started the laboratory that is now the Eberhart-Conway Co., one of the largest in the South. He retired last year.

Mr. Eberhart was a member of the Collins Memorial Methodist Church in Bolton and was a charter member of the Log Cabin Sunday School, where he served on the board of trustees.

He is survived by two daughters, Miss Margaret Eberhart, Smyrna, and Mrs. Lawrence F. Kent, Atlanta; and a son, Dr. Charles A. Eberhart, Atlanta.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Spring Hill Chapel, the Rev. N, O. L Powell officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.
