Mr. Kagels was born in Newfane on Feb. 15, 1890. He was the son of Charles and Ernestine Kagels. His wife Ida died in 1944.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Mabel) McClay of Appleton; one brother, Theodore Kagels of Newfane and one sister, Mrs. Walter McParlin of Lockport, and one granddaughter, Mrs. John (Beverly) Sweeney of Appleton.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
. Friends may call at the Bream Funeral Home, Main Street, Gasport, on Saturday 9-10pm and Sunday 2-4pm and 7-10 pm where funeral will be held on Monday, June 14, 1969, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Donald M. Wilson will officiate. Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
