Surviving are his wife, DiKarla (Hornberger) Peters and companion, Nic, of Altoona; two daughters: Logan Peters of Hollidaysburg, and Mareike Peters of Altoona; his father, David Peters and wife, Cheryl, of Altoona; his mother, Susan (McNellis) Conrad and husband, Gerald, of Gallitzin; a brother, Sean (Nem) Peters of Spotsylvania, Va.; a stepbrother, Doak (Katya) Marasco, of Framingham, Mass.; two stepsisters: April (Dan) Lafferriere of Bellingham, Mass., and Tamara “Bee” (Shawn) Marasco of Altoona; his maternal grandmother, Janice (Carmino) Battisti of Altoona; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Anthony McNellis; and his paternal grandparents: Richard and Ruth Peters.
Jason was a graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was a U.S. Army vetera, and he served for four years in both Germany and Kosovo. He was currently working as a cell tower technician for Aurora Electrical and Data Services, and he had previously worked for Amerway and Norfolk Southern.
He was a member of Cesare Battisti Club, and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, sports and spending time with friends and family.
