Rose M. Hoff, 88, of Granville passed away at 1:38 p.m. Nov. 13, 2017, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville. The Rev. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Granville at a later date.
As per Rose's request her body was donated to science. Helmer-Shields Funeral Home, Granville is assisting the family with arrangements.
Rose was born July 29, 1929, in Granville to John and Anna (Petrovich) Lapuh. She married Gerald E. Hoff on May 9, 1953, in Chicago.
Rose and Jerry moved back to Granville from Chicago after Jerry retired.
Rose played golf, bowled and was involved in the Sunday school program at Sacred Heart Church. While living in Chicago she was involved with St. Edward CYO where she greatly influenced many children throughout many years through this program.
Rose loved to play scratch-off lottery tickets and slot machines in the local Granville establishments with a big smile on her face and a laugh from her heart.
Rose is survived by two daughters, Susan (Alan) Motley of Chicago and MaryAnn (Tim) Kistler of Chicago; four sons, Frank Hoff of Chicago, Dennis Hoff of Naperville, Donald (Cathy) Hoff of Des Plaines and Robert Hoff of Chicago; one sister, Elizabeth Wertz of Georgia; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and three sisters and four brothers.
Memorials may be made to any local youth organization of the donor's choice.
