WINNIFRED L. 'WINNIE' MARTINSEN, 77 BELOVED MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AND FRIEND ROCKFORD - Winnifred L. "Winnie" Martinsen, 77, of Rockford graduated to heaven at 11:52 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in her home with her family by her side. Born Oct. 31, 1930, in New Auburn, Wis., the daughter of Leo and Hazel (Lane) Loofboro. Married Robert J. Martinsen on May 28, 1949, in Rockford. Employed by Camcar for 18 years. Member of Teamsters Retirees. She was a volunteer for the Purple Knights and loved to play bingo. Winnie had a servant's heart. Survivors include children, Barbara (Bob) Clinton of Kathmandu, Nepal, Judy (Tom) Tinsley of Machesney Park, Dorthey (John) Thirion of South Beloit, Debbie (Gary) Anderson of Shelby Township, Mich., and Lee (Jodie) Martinsen of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers; a sister; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Robert; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. Special thanks to Hospice Care of America for their compassionate care for Mom and our family. Service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 4 p.m. to service time; the Rev. Robert Kolb will officiate.
