He was born April 14, 1921 in Westfield, IN, son of Ray and Mary (Hochstedler) Pruitt. He married Vonda L. Gunning, and she preceded him in death on January 17, 2016.
Gale served in the Army during WWII. He was self-employed as a farmer in Hamilton County. Gale was a member of West Lafayette Christian Church and was active on the mission board and committee. He enjoyed all sports and being involved with the grandchildren's activities. He was an avid Cubs fan and was thrilled to see them win the World Series.
Gale is survived by a daughter-in-law; a foster daughter; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; and three foster great-grandchildren.
Gale was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sons, Mark D. Pruitt and John Bruce Pruitt.
