He was the son of the late Arthur and Bonnie Mack Harrison. He was also predeceased by his beloved sweetheart and wife Polly.

James was a proud veteran having served with the USMC from 1952-1955 and in the Korean Conflict. He was a humble and kind man, a devout Christian and a loving and devoted husband and father.

Interment in Bessemer City Memorial City Cemetery.
