A native of New Prospect, SC; Joseph Marion McClure (1870–1907) and Martha Williams Alverson (1875–1967); wife of the late Herman Enoch Lawrence, Sr. (1901–1986).
Survivors include her daughter, Rosamond Lawrence Petty (1922–2013); son, Joseph Marion "Joe" Lawrence (1919–2004); sisters, Della McClure (1902–1994) and Ruth Carolyn Alverson Siegel (1911–1994); seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Also predeceased by a daughter, Katherine Mary Lawrence Leonard (1924–1979); son, Herman Enoch Lawrence, Jr. (1926–1959); siblings, Martha Nannette McClure Cook (1900–1984), Grace McClure (1904–1966), Paul Williams Alverson (1910–1981), and William Crawford Alverson (1918–1972).
Visitation was held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Saturday, October 13, 1990, at Seawright Funeral Home.
Services were held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, October 14, 1990, at Seawright Funeral Chapel by Dr. Donald Bishop and Rev. James R. Bruce; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
