Mr. Berge, 48, of Rochester, died Saturday (March 17, 2007) at Saint Marys Hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born July 25, 1958, in Harmony, he grew up on the family farm and graduated from Harmony High School in 1976. He moved to Rochester and worked for Crenlo, Inc., for 30 years. He held several positions, including assembler. On Sept. 5, 1981, he married Nancy Busse in Harmony. He enjoyed football, hockey, music and campfires.
Survivors include two daughters, Joelynn and Callie Berge, both of Rochester; a son, Bradley of Rochester; his mother, Grace Berge of Harmony; three sisters, Marilyn (Merl) Groteboer of Rochester, Barbara (Keith) Simmons of Linden, Iowa, and Julianne (Rodney) House of Ostrander; and four brothers, Harold (Rosie) of Harmony, Stan (Ellen) of Dodge Center, James (Barb) of Racine and Jerry (Daneese) of Lewisville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl; and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Rochester Chapel, and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
