Born in Ayr April 24, 1902, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs Andrew Nichol and had lived in St. Catharines before moving to the Galt district.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Jessie Brash, in 1960; and two sons, Roy and Thomas. Surviving are five sons, Donald, James and Douglas, all at home, William of Galt, and Gary of Preston; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley Molner of Brantford, Mrs. Gordon (Jessie) Wilkinson of Preston, Mrs. Clare (Isabel) Watson of Galt and Mrs. Norman (Doreen) McCoy of Dundas; one brother, David of Detroit; and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Cook of Santa Ana, Calif., Mrs. Mary Greives of Detroit and Mrs. Belle Stark of Fort Erie.
Funeral services were held yesterday.
