Cleo Rogers Bass Bigbee May 12, 1919 - September 9, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA— Cleo Rogers Bass Bigbee, 91, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Hilderbrand officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Cleo was born May 12, 1919 in Dooley County, GA daughter of the late Burel and Ida Pilkington Rogers. She was married to the late Marion W. "Bud" Bass and the late Harry Bigbee. She worked as a Recovery Room Nurse at St. Francis Hospital for many years. She touched all who knew her, and will be remembered for her love and kindness. Cleo was a faithful member of East Highland United Methodist Church in Columbus. Survivors include her sons, Robert "Whit" Bass (Sue) of Smiths, AL, and Danny A. Bass of Columbus, GA, siblings, Cecil Rogers (Shirley) , Gedia Rogers Chambers , A.B. Rogers (Ethel), and Amelia Rogers Davis all of Columbus, GA, granddaughters, Terry Bass Shepard (Jeff) of Smiths, AL, and Tobie Bass Trudeau (Paul) of Athens, GA, grandsons, Robbie Bass (Christine) of Kremlin, MT, and Carter Bass (Melody) of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, and eight great-grandchildren. Cleo Rogers Bass Bigbee, our "Mee Maw", will be greatly missed and loved by all those who had the priviledge of knowing her.
