The 1900 Census shows Arthur and his brother Daniel living in New York City. Arthur had worked in New York City for E.D. Leeper, handlers of mill supplies, and was sent to work at the company branch office in Mexico City. After about one year, Arthur left E.D. Leeper to form his own company. He contacted typhoid pneumonia and died in Mexico City on Apr 1, 1905. His body was returned to Potsdam where he was buried in New Saint Mary's Cemetery on Apr 9, 1905.
