Daughter of Silas East and Harriet Canty East. She was a twin to brother, Pvt. William East ( buried Oakwood Cemetery, VA ). She married Clarke Glosson on 28 February 1878. Clarke died the same year. He was 24 years her senior. Malinda then married Asbury Dewey Snow on 3 April 1890 (his 1st wife died in 1878); both marriages were in Oconee Co. Asbury died 26 March 1900; he was buried at Mt Caramel Methodist Church Cemetery in Walton Co with parents and family with 1st wife. In 1900 thru 1920 she lived with her sister Elizabeth East Autry in Oconee Co.
