Christina was the oldest of two daughters born to Dock Franklin (2nd marriage) and Sarah Virginia (Reel) Finger. She married Fred Lee Beard in 1915 and they were the parents of twelve children Rosa M., Clyde Franklin, Mary Hazel, Ethel Virginia, Dorothy Lee, Glenn Edgar, Mildred Louise, Billy Eugene, Betty Christine, Ruth, Carl Richard and Robert.
