Mr. Charles M. Akin, 94, of Scottsboro passed away on Friday, November 2, 2017 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Duaine Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Mr. Akin is survived by his wife, Lois Akin; son, Charles (Janet) Akin, Ronnie (Shelia) Akin; daughters, Janet (James) Feinaue, Trecia (Howell) Moss; sister, Burl Jinks; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irma Akin; daughter, Patricia Reeves; and granddaughter, Sonya Matherson.
