Smithfield - Julia Creech Walker, age 93, died Wednesday November 1, 2017 in the SECU Hospice House surrounded by her family. Born June 7, 1924 in Johnston County to the late Callie and Esther Hines Creech, she was the widow of Frank Bedford Walker, Jr. and was preceded in death by a grandson, William Watson “Will” Hall. She was a longtime member of the Unity Free Will Baptist Church where she enjoyed keeping the nursery.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Unity Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Parrish, the Rev. Reuben Cason, the Rev. Jay Summerlin and the Rev. Mike McAuley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

Surviving are her son, Frankie Walker and wife Anita of Goldsboro; daughter, Evelyn Walker Hall and husband Watson of Garner; four grandchildren, Bryan Walker and wife Beth, Taylor Walker and wife Lisa, Anna Bailey and husband Brian and Corey Walker and wife Angie and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Will Hall Scholarship Fund, c/o Welch College, P. O. Box 479, Gallatin, TN 37066.
