Golda Louise Magoon, 87, formerly of Drozdyk Drive, Groton, died Monday night, Dec. 8, 2008, at Pendleton in Mystic, where she had been a resident for many years.
Mrs. Magoon was born Oct. 22, 1921, in Sullivan County, Mo., the daughter of Herman and Marie Spencer Koffman.
She was married to Leon E. Magoon, who died Feb. 2, 1982.
Mrs. Magoon attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, Providence Stake, in Groton.
She is survived by a daughter, Carrol L. Berry of Westerly; sisters, Violet Harnes of Milwaukee, Ore., and Beulah Murphy of Linneus, Mo.; one grandchild; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at River Bend Cemetery in Westerly. There are no calling hours. Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London, is assisting with the arrangements.
