Mrs. Robertson was born in Jefferson County, Florida to Jeff and Bertha Lee Braswell. Born on Jan. 13, 1937, she was the fifth of ten children. She moved to Beaufort, S.C. and attended business school in Savannah, Ga.
Mrs. Robertson and her husband moved to the Florence-Darlington area in 1961 and helped start several local golf courses. In 1968 the built Tifton Golf Club, later renamed Beavercreek Golf Club, and ran this for 27 years.
Mrs. Robertson was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Virginia Goodreau and Daisy Givens.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James ''Jim'' Robertson ; sons, Billy (Robin) Parker of Florence, and Anthony (Judy) Parker of Myrtle Beach; a grandson, whom she loved as a son, Bryan Anthony Roland Parker of the home; brothers, David (Gay) Braswell, James (Shirley) Braswell, both of Florida, and Russell (Joyce) Braswell of Alabama; sisters, Mary (Harold) Powers of Virginia, Irene (Bob) Waldow, and Betty (John) Hudson, both of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, in the Kistler Chapel conducted by the Rev. Gerald Truluck. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, at the funeral home.
