Born Sept. 17, 1924, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Avis (Reinard) Keen.
She was preceded in death by her lifelong friend and spouse, John J. Overdorf Sr.
Arlene, as she is known by her family and friends, grew up in the DuBois area, graduating from DuBois High School. She furthered her education at Roberts College in Rochester, New York.
Prior to their retirement to Sun City, Ariz., Arlene and John started Overdorf Plumbing, providing service for many area residents. During this time, Arlene volunteered her time working with the Child Welfare Office in Clearfield.
Arlene enjoyed completing all types of crafts and scouting out garage sales. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She is, and will be, greatly missed.
She is survived by two sons and their families: John and Donna Overdorf of Treasure Lake, Edwin and Marla Overdorf of Treasure Lake; a daughter-in-law, Karen Overdorf of Wellsville, N.Y.; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Arlene was preceded in death by her son, Ladd Overdorf; a
great-grandson, Jacob John Overdorf; and her siblings, Thomas Keen, formerly of DuBois, Helen Mae Sieple, formerly of Reynoldsville, Charles LeRoy Keen, formerly of Florida, and Estella Jame Duschea, formerly of Johnstown.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, Oct. 29, from 1-4 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. John Martin officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
