CDR Jesse Paul Lott, USN (Ret.), 92, born March 10, 1925, in Lufkin, TX, died peacefully October 26, 2017, in Norfolk, VA.

Jess was a Pilot serving in the Navy from 1943 until his retirement in 1964. He then went on to work for the Naval Safety Center in Norfolk until his second retirement in 1987.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene T. Lott; grandsons, Brian R. Singleton and C. Barrett Singleton; and several of his siblings. He is survived by his children, Dr. Richard S. Lott (Vicki), Mrs. Andrea L. Singleton (Ken), Dr. Patricia A. Lott (Barb) as well as four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank everyone at Province Place of DePaul for all the love and care they have given dad these last several years.

A Prayer Service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at 6 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Fr. George Bessinas officiating. Military honors will be accorded at the grave. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
